On chaweng beach.

Bathrooms very old and needs improvement. Staff don’t understand english and with severe tropical storm causing chaos with flights the lack of assistance was very disconcerting.

Alcoholic drinks very very weak, can get cheaper and better drinks outside the hotel. Tour organiser not very efficient.

The towels were torn, because the pool is open there is a lot of Moscito they need to clean at least twice a day

The fact it had an issue with electricity, and we were...

The fact it had an issue with electricity, and we were expected to walk up unlit stairs to our dark room, as part of the hotel had a power cut for hours during the evening and night. When I took issue with reception about how unsafe I felt and how unhappy I was they did in fairness move me to another room, but this wasn’t an offer they made initially.

Could be great but not clean enough

Location was great. Beautiful beach front and nice shops on way down to hotel.

Room was not as clean as it could be. Toothpaste stains on the mirror, dirty floors and smelly beach towels. I told the reception and it wasn't much better after they send someone up to sort it. Very noisy neighbours.

Look Samui. We return for a few days every year.

Hotel was good, with friendly and accommodating staff.

Hotel was hard to find on arrival, with a limited parking. Although staff and security guard was very accommodating and couldn’t do enough for you. Pillows were made of foam, which made you hot at night and difficult to sleep.

Not worth the money, average hotel that's overpriced

one of the staff lent me her cell when I needed assistance to call home (I had phone trouble). Nice for her to help me out The pool was really nice and right on the beach meant it was a great location.

There is no airport shuttle bus, they simply call you a taxi. They said it will be 400 baht (which is way too expensive for a 7 minute drive) once I got to the airport, the driver accepted 300 baht so the hotel were clearly ripping me off the taxi fare which should have been no more than 200 baht. It was a really hot day and I had lots of luggage so i didn't want to walk the streets in the heat to find my own shared taxi, but I didn't expect to be ripped off by the hotel after I spent 4 nights there. Not nice. When I booked online I paid for a Deluxe room, when they showed me to my room on arrival they gave me a Superior room. Once I connected with Wi-fi I accessed my booking and went to reception to check if they had me in the right room. They ended up moving me but didn't seem to check any details, they just took my word for it which makes me think they may try to cheat guests out of what they paid for frequently, so do check ALL details when you check in so you get what you paid for. Drinks at the bar don't include tax and service charge, a little sneaky as most other bars of nearby hotels charge exactly the price on the drinks menu (tax & service charge included). A cheeky extra charge here and there. Service on the beach was poor, I had to wait a while and ended up getting my own drinks. The phone in my room was down, I couldn't call out as they said they were having 'technical issues' on that day. Next day, exactly the same. Turns out you can't call out from reception either. I think the phones in the rooms are just for show

Not great at the rates they charge ... At half the price they might get 4 stars

I liked the general location, slightly off the main beach, I liked ... Well not too much more,

Not alot to say that is outstanding, a couple of staff were great, in particular Mind,in the restaurant. I stayed in a Cabana which was Ok but at £100 plus a night was overpriced, especially off season. Booked because a friend booked and likes the location. Internet was not good and they ask for your MAC address. Hackers paradise. Water pressure in the shower was poor ...

Hotel situated right on the beach , within walking distance to centre.

Hotel is situated right on the beach. Breakfast is served close to the beach ( Views, views ). Rooms was okay , bathroom was okay. Walking distance to centre & most restaurants & bars. Beach close too hotel not too nice , but the hotel swimming pool is fine. Staff was awesome friendly and helpful.

Bedroom & Bathroom was not very clean and dated , bedding was very dated , definitely needs an upgrade. Hotel has 2 upper floors with no lift , only stairs, quite a mission to drag up a heavy suitcase , although the bellboy brought up our cases , it was a mission going down on check out.

What would you highlight about Iyara Beach Hotel and Plaza

It was a great 10 day stay and I would return.

The Hotel is close to everything, nice walk by the beach to wherever, Ark bar etc. it is also shorter then walking omg the Main Street. I liked this hotel, the staff were amazing, helpful and very friendly and efficient. The room was very spacious and got cleaned everyday perfect! Very good value for money and it was not loud at all, you have your piece there.

I didn't had a great view, no balcony but in the end of the day you just there to leave your bags and to sleep in. :) The only thing I can say is the lights at night could be brighter.
